Welcome to the 2024 Candlewyck Barracudas Swim Team. We are back to a regular schedule this year! Practices will be Sunday - Thursday evenings beginning Monday May 13th.

We will be hosting other GCSL Division 4 teams for 4 home meets and visiting other pools for an additional 3 away meets. Our swimmers will also compete in the Green & White Time Trials meet on May 30th to determine each swimmer's seed times for the season. The GCSL Division 4 All-Stars Meet will be held on Saturday, June 29th at 2pm.

Practice Times

• 5:00-5:30 - Shrimpers (6 & Under)
• 5:30-6:15 - 7-10 yr olds (7 yr olds can finish at 6pm if 45 min is too much)
• 6:15-7:30 - 11 yr old and up

Season Schedule

• March 26th - Registration Opens
• April 13th - Suit Fitting and Meet the Coaches, 1p-3p (Bring a credit card to purchase your suit) 
• May 13th - FIRST DAY OF PRACTICE
• May 26th - No practice for Memorial Day
• May 27th - No practice for Memorial Day
• May 30th - Green & White Meet at 5pm
• June 3rd - Home Meet vs Brightmoor
• June 6th - Away Meet at Brookhaven at 5pm
• June 7th - Last day of school for CMS
• June 10th - Away Meet vs Crismark
• June 13th - Home Meet vs Blakeney
• June 17th - Home Meet vs Stone Creek Ranch
• June 20th - Away Meet vs Bridgemill
• June 24th - Home Meet vs Chimneys
• June 29th - GCSL Division 4 All-Stars, warm-ups at 12:15pm and starts at 1 pm; MCAC 800 E Martin Luther King Jr Blvd. Charlotte, NC 28202
• June 30th - End of Season Banquet, 5pm - 9pm

Participation is dependent on members being in good standing with the Candlewyck HOA. Any outstanding balance must be resolved with the HOA prior to participating in swim team events.
