Welcome to the 2026 Candlewyck Barracudas Swim Team. Practices will be Sunday - Thursday evenings beginning Monday May 11th.

We will be hosting other Greater Charlotte Swim League (GCSL) teams with 4 home meets and visiting other pools for an additional 2 away meets. Our swimmers will also compete in the Green & White Time Trials meet on May 16th, at 8am, to determine each swimmer's seed times for the season. The GCSL All-Stars Meet will be held on Sunday, June 28th at 2pm.

• 5:00-5:30 - Shrimpers (6 & Under)
• 5:30-6:15 - 7-8
• 6:15-7 - 9-10
• 7-8  - 11 and up

Season Schedule

• March 16th - Registration Opens
• April 18th - Suit Fitting and Meet the Coaches, 1p-3p (Bring a credit card to purchase your suit)
• May 3rd - Parent Meeting (virtual via Zoom) at 5pm
• May 11th - FIRST DAY OF PRACTICE
• May 16th - Green & White Meet at 8am
• May 24th - No practice for Memorial Day Weekend
• May 25th - No practice for Memorial Day Weekend
• May 28th - Swin-a-Thon Fundraiser, normal practice times 
• June 1st - Home Meet vs Crismark
• June 8th - Home Meet at Brightmoor
• June 10th - Last day of school for CMS
• June 11th - Home Meet vs Sardis Forest
• June 15th - Home Meet vs Beverly Crest
• June 18th - Away Meet vs Summerwood
• June 20th: 50th Celebration Party 1pm-5pm at Candlewyck 
• June 22nd - Away Meet vs Relay Carnival at Sardis Forest
• June 28th - GCSL All-Stars Meet, 2pm
• June 29th - End of Season Banquet, 5p - 8p

Participation is dependent on members being in good standing with the Candlewyck HOA. Any outstanding balance must be resolved with the HOA prior to participating in swim team events.
