Volunteering

Swim team is a volunteer-run organization, and all families are required to complete at least 4 volunteer shifts per season. Shrimper-only (6 & Under) parents should volunteer for 1st Half shifts so that they don't have to stay for the entire meet.

Volunteer job descriptions can be found here.

Swim Meets

Our first meet of the season is the Green & White scrimmage, which is our time trials meet and gives our swimmers an opportunity to establish their event times for the new season.

Dual meets with other GCSL Division 4 teams are typically held on most Monday and Thursday nights in June. The typical schedule for a swim meet evening looks like this:

  • 4:30-4:45: Swimmers arrive and set up on the pool deck
  • 5:00: Home team warm-ups
  • 5:30: Away team warm-ups
  • 6:00: Meet begins
